Porter takes immense pride in co-sponsoring the Rhythm of Life – Benefit to beat Colorectal Cancer. This event supports the ongoing efforts of the Colorectal Cancer Center of Excellence at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center and holds deep meaning for the Porter team as it is hosted by one of our own, George Davis, alongside his wife, Patricia.
George Davis, a remarkable individual and valued member of Porter’s Board of Directors, exemplifies the true power of resilience as a two-time cancer survivor. His battle against the disease not only had a profound impact on his own well-being but also on his entire care circle. Together, they faced the dual challenge of managing his recovery and navigating the intricacies of the healthcare system.
When George shared a colossal binder filled with care instructions, medication directions, and an ever-expanding pile of paperwork with his long-time friend, John Criswell, they both knew there had to be a simpler way for individuals to concentrate on their recovery without the added stress and distractions.
“We are all familiar with, either personally or through the accounts of others, the daunting and overwhelming maze that is the healthcare system.” Said Porter CEO and Founder, John Criswell. “This is the very reason why Porter is so essential. With Porter by the side of each of your members, they can feel confident in their recovery, and you can feel confident that they are getting the right care at the right time. We serve as the guiding compass, expertly navigating your members through the intricate healthcare landscape with expertise, empathy, and unwavering support.”
With Porter, your members are never alone.
